Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Accountant to join our Finance team in Stockholm as part of a new organization within a separate company.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing daily financial operations, ensuring accurate financial reporting, compliance with relevant standards and regulations, and contributing to financial planning and system improvement projects.

About the Team

This is a new organisation, and our finance team is also new. You will work closely with our Finance Manager and Business Controller, supporting the new organisation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and analyze asset, liability, and capital account entries, and prepare balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Support the month-end closing process and ensure all relevant procedures and controls are followed.
  • Prepare financial statements for statutory and investor reporting.
  • Review financials to substantiate transactions and resolve discrepancies.
  • Implement and maintain accounting controls, policies, and procedures, ensuring compliance with IFRS, K3, and relevant legislation.
  • Address accounting procedure questions and provide support for technical queries from the finance organisation.
  • Manage the audit process and liaise with external auditors as necessary.
  • Collaborate with the business controller and wider organisation to ensure proper implementation of accounting policies, improve systems, and manage ERP processes related to costs and inventory.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years' experience in accounting, financial control or similar.
  • Degree in accounting, business or similar.
  • Professional qualifications (ACCA, ACA, CPA) or similar are a merit.
Specific Skills
  • Experience with ERP systems, Microsoft Dynamics 365 experience is preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office with good knowledge of Excel (vlookups, pivot tables, PowerBI, etc.).
  • Effective communication skills in English, Swedish is a plus.
