Media Relations and External Communications Manager

The Media Relations and External Communication Manager is responsible for managing Loomis' media relations, crisis communications, and external corporate communications initiatives. This role involves developing and executing strategic communication plans that enhance the company's reputation, build brand awareness, and foster positive relationships with key stakeholders.

Through a close collaboration with key functions in the organization, the Media Relations and External Communications Manager will initiate, draft, present, implement and evaluate proactive and reactive communications activities that will lead the organization in the desired direction. This also involves managing situations which may affect the corporate position in a negative way. The role will also be responsible for management of the corporate website and assisting the Head of Sustainability and IR with investor relations related activities.

The role reports to the Head of Sustainability and Investor Relations for Loomis Group, operational from Stockholm, and with close collaboration to other group functions and the Group management team, e.g. CFO, CLO, CHRO as well as the CEO. The investor relations, external communications and sustainability team are part of the financial organization within Loomis and reports to the Group CFO. The role is based at the headquarters in central Stockholm.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Define and build the corporate communications function at Loomis and its related processes and guidelines.
  • Be the primary point of contact and spokesperson for media inquiries and work to develop sound and solid media relations across all key markets.
  • Develop and implement strategic communication plans that align with Loomis' business objectives, including crisis communications plans to ensure an effective response.
  • Monitor and analyze media coverage and provide regular updates to senior management.
  • Draft and publish press releases and other communications materials.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Investor Relations to develop presentations for investors, analysts, and other external stakeholders. Prepare materials and talking points for external presentations, investor meetings, annual general meetings, and earnings calls.
  • Together with the CFO and Investor Relations, develop key messages and content for the financial reports – annual as well as interim – ensuring consistency with corporate messaging and branding guidelines.
  • Oversee the maintenance and updates of the corporate website to ensure accurate and up-to-date information. Collaborate with IT and marketing teams to enhance the website's functionality and user experience.
  • Plan, implement and evaluate corporate communications strategies and activities in close dialogue with the management team and Head of Brand and Marketing Communications.

Preferred skills:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both English and Swedish.
  • Strong organizational and time management abilities.
  • Proven experience in media relations, public affairs, or a related field.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Proficiency in using content management systems.
  • Experience in managing crisis communication.

Your Experience:

  • At least a Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Journalism, Public Relations, Business administration or a related field.
  • Proven experience (5+ years) in media relations, corporate communications, or a similar role.
  • Fluency in English and Swedish; proficiency in additional languages is a plus.
