We are looking for a Communication Advisor who wants to team up with us to enable the business and build trust for Alfa Laval as a brand and as an employer. Your main responsibility will be to lead Alfa Laval's communication plans and activities for safety and compliance at Group level. You will be part of Group Communications and belong to the Internal Communications team. The communication function reports to the Group CEO and is responsible for internal and external communication as well as branding and digital communication.

About the job

To create a truly integrated communication agenda, you need to network and partner up with key stakeholders in various parts of the organization. This senior communication role will lead and develop communication for safety and compliance in collaboration with key stakeholders in Group Affairs and across the organization. You will be the subject matter expert and be responsible for implementing business-driven communication activities to support the organization and Group Affairs in achieving its goals and objectives accelerated by communication. Group Affairs in Alfa Laval is an in-house team of experts and specialists with global and local presence and a cross-functional and cross-organizational setup. They have expertise knowledge in the areas of intellectual property rights, risk and compliance, sustainability, safety, legal and corporate development.

A key focus in the first year will be to develop the communication plans needed and implement the identified communication activities for a behavioral and cultural change both short-term and long-term.

As a Communication Advisor you will also work with communication development to make sure the communication landscape and ways of working are need-based and in tune with the times.

The role will be based in Lund, Sweden, and you will report to the Head of Internal and Leadership Communications and work close with Group Affairs and the management team.

Responsibilities

  • Secure a holistic and transparent communication approach for safety and compliance communication.
  • Develop communication and messaging platforms aimed at internal and external target groups.
  • Drive the alignment and roll-out of safety and compliance communication across Alfa Laval.
  • Manage stakeholders across Alfa Laval to secure alignment, empowerment, and ambassadorship.
  • Be responsible for safety and compliance communication plans, roadmaps, and calendars
  • Support and enable strategic initiatives and projects with communication and change.
  • Act as a communication partner, coach, and advisor to various stakeholders to define and enable their communication needs and goals.
  • Be part of the global editorial team ensuring stories to enable and position Alfa Laval as the transition leader.
  • Write stories and news articles.
  • Work with internal and/or external resources to deliver defined communication briefs within budget and timeframe.
  • Identify and share communication best practices and be part of establishing and implementing communication processes and agile ways of working in an up-to-date communication landscape.
  • Make sure the safety and compliance communication are aligned with Alfa Laval brand guidelines.

What you know

  • A degree in communication, journalism, public relations or similar
  • At least 10 years' experience from similar strategic communication roles, with a proven track record of successfully making change happen.
  • Possess a strong understanding of strategic communication and how to tailor effective communication in a global and complex business environment.
  • Know communication methods and tools at a strategic, tactical, and operational level.
  • Experience from global and complex matrix organizations and working with leadership and change communication is highly valued.
  • Excellent verbal and written English.
