Then you might be the changemaker we are looking for Read more and apply today About the Vacancy Better Shelter has a new strategy for private sector partnership engagements, for which the organisation seeks to work with corporates, foundations, philanthropic organisations and individuals to raise additional funds to continue to provide shelters to displaced and vulnerable people in need.

This position would involve working with existing private sector partnerships, negotiating new partnerships, and coordinating the signing of proposals, reports and grant agreements.

The job includes developing solid stewardship plans aimed at increasing engagement and preparing background materials for meetings between Better Shelter and partners or donor prospects.

The job may involve developing additional plans for bespoke fundraising projects, Cause-Related Marketing (CRM) campaigns, employee engagement and other types of partner outreach activities.

The job would also involve participating in and organising high-profile events to expand networking opportunities and seek new long-term and holistic partnerships.

The Fundraising Manager will be part of the Partnerships Team, reporting to the Head of Fundraising and Partnerships. The Fundraising Manager will also be working closely with the Communications Team to ensure marketing, outreach and visibility synergies. Qualifications and Experience

  • Minimum Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field, preferably in Marketing, International Relations, Politics, Humanitarian Studies or equivalent.
  • Significant working experience with corporate donors, foundations, and philanthropic partnerships in the Nordic region or in Europe is a requirement.
  • Strong market knowledge and networks in the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) region is highly desirable.
  • Fluency in English, spoken and written. A Nordic language or another UN language is meritorious.
  • Experience working in an international organisation.
  • Experienced user of common IT applications, including Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems, and Microsoft Office, intermediate or advanced level. Skills and Traits We put great value on your personality and soft skills and expect you to have excellent communication skills, trust building, and confidence in written and verbal presentations. We also expect you to be analytical and structured as well as result- and target oriented. You should also have a good ability to monitor and follow up on progress and results as well as be hands-on and open-minded. Ability to travel internationally occasionally.
