IT Unit Position

The IT unit, responsible for security, development, operations, and maintenance of the organization's IT platform, telephony, data and video communication, and user support, is seeking a new team member. Currently, the unit comprises a manager and 7 team members.

The position is within the IT unit located at the ESF Council's headquarters in Gävle.

The IT unit, consisting of an IT manager and 7 team members, collectively oversees:

  • IT and Information Security
  • Development, operations, and maintenance of the organization's digital platform
  • User support for telephony, data, and video communication

Responsibilities

As an IT Strategist, you will be a supporting function to the IT manager. You will work independently to coordinate and have a holistic view of IT deliveries to other units. This includes, for example, coordinating the IT unit's delivery of our self-developed business system and driving various types of improvement work within the IT unit.

Qualifications

We are looking for someone with:

  • A degree from a university in the IT field or several years of experience in similar roles.
  • Several years of experience in driving IT improvement work from feasibility study to completion.
  • Experience working with various models such as Agile models, project management methodology, and governance models (e.g., PM3).
  • The ability to express yourself well in speech and writing in Swedish.

It is advantageous if you have:

  • Experience working on business and/or IT architecture issues.
  • Experience in similar roles within public administration.
  • Experience working with self-developed business systems.

You contribute to enhancing collaboration within the IT unit with other units in the organization by building good relationships both internally and externally. You have the ability to see the big picture and systematically create conditions to drive the work forward.
