Job description

As a Mergers and Acquisitions Advisor, you will have the opportunity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic department, in a small team with driven colleagues, leading M&A and partnership projects, and contributing to the long-term success and profitability of Scania. You will be heading strategically significant transactions and be offered significant opportunities for transaction experience and development.

Ventures and New Business is a department of Scania that aims to push boundaries for sustainable transportation by developing and investing in transformational and complementary businesses that support the shift toward a sustainable transport system.

Ventures and New Business focuses on three impact areas: Energy & Infrastructure, Circularity & Material, and Autonomous & Supply Chain. Within these sectors, Ventures and New Business builds and finances companies that offer innovative solutions for electrification, circularity, autonomy, and logistics. Some examples of Venture and New Business's portfolio companies are JUNA, LOTS and Scania Charging Solutions.

In this role, you will have the chance to work autonomously while collaborating closely with management, product, engineering, legal, and other partner-facing teams to initiate, support, and grow corporate ventures.

The function is a part of the function Venture Capital and Mergers and Acquisitions with an office located in central Stockholm. You will report to Sarah Holford, Head of M&A.

You will for example;

  • Support Scania colleagues in leading partnership or transaction processes.
  • Monitor and support key portfolio companies.
  • Analyze and present potential opportunities based on future demand and strategy.
  • Analyze and communicate investment opportunities and impacts.
  • Lead M&A and partnership projects, including negotiating agreements and managing relations.
  • Lead third-party negotiations, ensuring optimal terms for Scania.
  • Collaborate with various teams to initiate and grow corporate ventures autonomously.

Other requirements for this role is;

  • Senior management experience; excellent stakeholder management and negotiation skills
  • Experience in finance and/or corporate transactions
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in law, finance or business
  • Experience with partnerships and M&A
  • Legal or financial background, with leadership, negotiation, and corporate ventures experience
  • International work experience
  • Ability to manage and communicate complex business ventures clearly
  • Fluency in English
