Barnes' Force & Motion Control business is in search of a Sales & Marketing Director, with a strong track record in leading sales growth and consistent performance across regional commercial teams. The ideal candidate will utilize proactive leadership to foster a high-performance team, focusing on delivering results while incorporating customer and market feedback to drive profitable growth. Responsibilities include overseeing sales channels such as distribution, direct sales, and partnerships to ensure efficient resource utilization and business excellence.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Manage Commercial P&L for Europe and APAC regions, driving orders, revenue, and growth targets.
  • Build and coach a high performing Commercial team for Topline growth through Core Business Execution.
  • Contribute to strategic growth plans as part of the FMC Global leadership team.
  • Maintain relationships with key customers and channel partners, while developing a strong industry network.
  • Execute a multi-channel sales strategy to deliver the value of the FMC brands efficiently.
  • Develop a marketing roadmap and brand strategy tailored to regional needs.
  • Ensure collaboration between teams to achieve desired outcomes.
  • Set pricing strategies based on data analysis for margin improvement and growth.
  • Implement systems for monitoring sales performance and progress regularly.
  • Cultivate a performance culture through sales reviews and analysis of key metrics.
  • Align commercial objectives with operational targets and financial expectations.
  • Lead by example to drive performance and results in line with company values.
  • Support enterprise-wide initiatives and share best practices for collective success.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of sales or commercial experience, including product management and business-to-business sales.
  • 5 years of leading global commercial teams successfully.
  • Prior experience in a matrixed business environment is preferred.
  • Ability to connect commercial excellence with operational and financial performance.
  • Passion for building and motivating high-performance teams.
  • Strong communication skills and integrity to work effectively across all levels.
  • Experience with continuous improvement and lean enterprise concepts.
  • Strong decision-making skills with a results-driven mindset.
  • Willingness to travel up to 50% as needed.

Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree required, M.B.A. or advanced degree preferred.
