We have 500+ employees, whereof 60+ deep learning engineers and 150+ perception experts. The Finance & Digital team (incl legal) consists of 25 people. We support the business to enable them to work at fast pace and create world leading safety software and cutting-edge solutions. You'll be working at the forefront of tech in a highly innovative environment where strategy shifts at a very high pace as new tech emerges – and you need to stay curious and get your head around that tech fast, in order to be good at what you do. You'll be joining a lean Finance team, reporting to the CFO.

Your mission and day-to-day tasks

In your role of Business Controller, you'll be helping the business by analyzing and digesting financial details, rapidly. Your role will be to work in-between the finance team and the engineering teams and make sure that the engineering teams understand the financial challenges, help them navigate through them and find solutions for them, that work financially. To be good at that, you'll need to understand what they're trying to achieve as well as make them understand how to make the funds work in their favor.

You'll be creating financial models that have great depth as well as ability to zoom out to a simplified visual image of the same data, to a non-financial audience. You thrive when you can crunch the numbers and make sense of them, provide insights, and spread understanding – and you constantly suggest new depths / new levels to your analysis that can enable others to make better decisions and better plans. You're the type that don't wait for a question, you see patterns and get to work.

On top of this you'll be using your curiosity to dive into the tech side of things, learn to understand what's behind the scenes of AI & ML and understand it as well as connect it to your analytics and how it affects the KPI's. Together with our engineering teams you'll dive into harvesting efficiencies of AI driven software development, into financial effects of automation. You'll be looking into the investments in infrastructure for AI/ML and data pipelines; the hardware, software, and cloud services.

Qualifications & experience

You're a genuine people person, you understand that bringing energy to the rooms you walk into and creating trust with the people you interact with – is crucial to getting through with your message and to getting to the really great solutions – through a collaborative approach. You're curious and positive, always looking for how to make something doable rather than the opposite. You create collaboration at scale, cross-functionally. If you're also a skilled communicator who can make the really abstract and difficult-to-understand easy to understand, for a non-financial audience – then you are spot on

You also have the following:

• A few years' experience from one of the most acknowledged investment banks or consultancy firms where you have been exposed to tech companies.
• Master's in engineering or finance/business/administration from an acknowledged university.
• Fluency in English is necessary.
• Presentation skills, both in creating presentations as well as presenting complex matter in an easy-to-understand way.
• Ability to crunch financial modelling.

Nice to have

• If you have been exposed to machine learning or deep tech companies that is a valuable asset.
