To take our journey to the next level, we are now looking for a passionate and strategic Transportation and Establishment Manager to join us in Stockholm.

As a strategically oriented Transportation & Establishment Manager at Gordon you will contribute to develop Gordon's logistics to enable the company's aggressive growth plan. The Transportation & Establishment Manager will lead the development of Gordon's transportation area into an effective, cost-efficient and a target driven business that exceeds customer expectations and enables profitable growth.

In this role you will work closely with the Sales team to develop our logistics services to enable Gordon's growth plan, exceed customer expectations and create long-lasting partnerships. The person will have an important role in pre-sale activities and onboarding of customers.

The person will lead The Transportation team to improve and automate processes, to establish a network of partners and to develop a strong transportation capability within Gordon Logistics function.

The Transportation & Establishment Manager will moreover lead the establishments of new distribution centres in the Nordic Countries to optimise Gordon's cost efficiency and service levels.

Success in this position requires that you are an effective leader, strong communicator and even better strategist. You have strong customer orientation and analytical skills to continuously drive value for our customers and Gordon. You will lead a team today consisting of two employees.

To be successful in this role, we're looking for individuals with a consultative mindset who can quickly understand both Gordon and the industries we serve.

Responsibilities and objectives:

  • Lead the Logistics Transportation department's activities to transition the Logistics function into a target driven function to exceed customer expectations.
  • Build strong, long-term relationships with customers and transportation companies.
  • Lead transportation activities for the company'sgrowth plan.
  • Identify and establish new Distribution Centers to improve cost efficiency and performance
  • Support Sales with pre-sales and onboarding activities.
  • Develop a network of transportation partners to enable growth plan.
  • Lead sourcing of transportation activities to improve performance, quality and cost efficiency.
  • Lead and ensure daily transportation operations
  • Monitor and follow-up performance within the area of responsibility.
  • Oversee responsibility for two employees.
  • Develop the Logistics employees' competences and capabilities to achieve results.
  • Identify and implement cost-efficiency activities for Gordon to be profitable and at the same time incorporate key customers' delivery demands
  • Assist in company and Logistics function's activities and projects.

We are looking for someone with

  • Master's or Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • 5-10 years of experience within supply chain.
  • 3-5 years of work experience as a Manager or similar Leading role.
  • Experience from developing a logistics function or similar team.
  • Exceptional ability to communicate and foster positive business relationships.
  • Experience working with senior and executive-level customer contacts.
  • Experience from being a manager of employees.
  • Preferably experience in working as a management consultant (or similar Project Management roles).
  • Preferably experience within start-ups and eCommerce companies.
  • Preferably experience within the food or pharmaceutical industry.
