To ensure continuous growth and become a leader in the European consumer billing market we are looking for a Head of Compliance to join our team.

About the role:

As Head of Compliance, you will play a key role in Billogram's work with regulatory compliance. Your responsibilities include monitoring and ensuring compliance with external regulations (GDPR, PSD2, DORA, AML, AI Act), keeping an eye on industry practices, participating in reporting, and providing advice, information, and training to employees at all levels in the organization.

Primary responsibilities:
  • Identify, analyze, and mitigate compliance issues and risks, including for example performing GDPR analyses on our suppliers.
  • Act as the point of contact towards our external control function and manage reporting to Finansinspektionen.
  • Provide continuous compliance training and awareness to the entire organization.
  • Participate in the development of internal policy documents.
  • Involved in issues related to information security and data protection within the organization.
  • Collaborate with other legal team members and external partners on compliance-related matters.
  • To some extent, assist in contract negotiations.
  • Stay updated on legal developments affecting our industry and advise on implications.

You have the ability to separate personal feelings from professional issues, ensuring clear and objective decision-making. You are skilled at building relationships across all organizational levels, quickly adapting to new challenges and effectively solving problems as they arise. In addition you are a committed self-starter with a proactive approach in initiating and prioritizing tasks.

Your persistence, communication skills and ability to find new solutions will drive your success in this role.

Skills & traits which will help you succeed in this role:
  • Minimum 5 years experience from working with compliance
  • Extensive experience and knowledge of GDPR is a requirement
  • Previous work within the payments sector is beneficial, particularly from working with PSD2
  • University degree within law is a requirement
  • Prior experience from working at a law firm is considered a plus
  • Experience from working in a fast-paced, changing environment is advantageous
  • Understanding of and interest in IT and tech is a plus
  • Fluency in Swedish and English, both written and verbal, is a requirement. Fluency in German is a plus.
