About the job

In this role as Manager, Smart Automation Solutions, you will be leading, motivating, and guiding the team to develop and maintain standardized automation solutions for both industrial and marine separator applications that gives the customers the best experience and performance in their use of our separators.

This exciting role will give you the opportunity to join the newly founded Smart Separator Systems department in R&D, taking care of the System, Automation, new concepts, and Analytics development for the separators. The department consists of four teams, this is for the position as the manager of the Smart Automation Solutions team consisting of highly skilled software developers and electrical designers, creating the products for the future.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Lead, motivate and develop a highly competent and skilled team of Automation Engineers and Electrical Engineers.
  • Create the strategy and drive the development of automation solutions for our separator systems – for Marine, Food, Life Science and Energy. Products that are enabling the highest performance in our customer's applications.
  • Drive the strategy and implement the processes for future cyber security demands that our products need to comply with.
  • Resource planning and budget handling.
  • Drive strong collaboration within the R&D organization (and Business Unit), especially the colleagues in Smart Separator Systems throughout the whole lifecycle of the product.
  • Drive and implement new and effective ways of developing and maintaining software.

Who you are

The ideal candidate will boast a broad understanding of automation technology development experience and processes with a background in one or more of the key market areas; Food & Life Science, Marine- or Energy industry. Experience within BU High-Speed Separators will be highly valued. You are looking for a next step in your career and want to work in an environment where drive, competence, empowerment, and accountability are in focus to satisfy our customers.

As a person, you are self-driven, structured and result oriented. Building and maintaining relationships through technical understanding the customer needs, while finding new solutions related to automation is a natural part of your DNA. Furthermore, t o succeed in this position, we expect you have:

  • A degree within Engineering and/or Business Administration
  • Some years of experience in the similar setting, with a proven record of successful leadership experience.
  • Technical experience and/or insight in automation standards, such as Control cabinet design, Cyber security, Mechatronics/embedded, Model based design.
  • Technical experience and/or insight within Automation development in PLC programming, designing, and developing automation packages for industrial equipment and for process equipment.
  • Excellent communication skills, fluent in English, Swedish is preferred.
