Manager Business Intelligence – Lindab

We are looking for an experienced and business oriented manager within BI with a proven track record of developing and coordinating the function on a group-level.
You will be a leading BI architect and responsible for building your future BI team and together with them design, create and manage Lindab's data architecture including data warehouses and data lakes. This role is crucial for the steps needed in Lindab's BI journey and in transitioning from local OLAP cubes to more modern BI solutions such as data warehouses, lakes and Artificial Intelligence.
In this role, you will bring experience, knowledge and vision to transform the BI function including its strategy, operating model, service offerings and workforce. As a leading architect for the BI function, you will act to ensure that data within the Lindab Group is handled accordingly.
As Manager of BI, you are very knowledgeable in the manufacturing industry and have a solid operational and financial business understanding and is able to translate this into good BI reporting for various stakeholders. In combination with excellent leadership skills and a solid technical background, you lead and motivate people, team members and stakeholders within the entire Lindab Group.

Main responsibilities
- Leadership: Overall responsible for the BI function. Attract, develop and retain highly skilled staff to ensure that the BI function can continuously add the right skills of resources to meet demand in the business and IT organization.
- Development: Establish a solid foundation for BI and data management for the organization, ensure that data is governed, organized, made visible and available, secured and tailored to a manageable BI reporting solution. Design, implement and control data and its supporting tools such as databases, data warehouses and data lakes. Project portfolio management as well as service catalog lifecycle management, securing alignment with current and future needs.
- Stakeholder Management: Build, develop and maintain successful relationships with other IT and business stakeholders by developing a clear understanding of business needs and delivery of services to meet those needs, leading to long-term alignment of strategy.
- Budget responsibility: Develop and control the annual BI functional budget to ensure it aligns with the overall IS/IT and Lindab Group strategic goals. Create and maintain a culture of continuous cost optimization for the services provided.
- Supplier Management: Develop the BI sourcing strategy and manage suppliers and partners within the BI area.
Previous experience and competence
- 10+ years of experience within BI whereof at least 3 years in architecture and visualizing data from financial and operational processes.
- 5+ years of leadership experience including budgeting and staffing. Skilled in communicating business value delivered by BI services and excellent in inspiring staff, securing alignment with IS/IT and business strategy.
- Experience integrating complex, cross-company and cross-group processes and information strategies, to visualize complex data as business results and values for senior executives.
- Experience from the manufacturing industry, preferably in an international context.
- Experience in developing BI strategy and implementing BI solutions such as Power BI, Snowflake, Microsoft Fabrics or similar.
- Experience leading projects and teams involving data warehousing, data modeling and data analysis.
- Experience and knowledge from IBM Cognos (or similar), Microsoft on-prem and cloud services related to BI.
- Knowledge and demonstrated ability in relevant programming languages such as Java, Python and C/C++, SQL, R and SAS.
- Experience of ITIL process-based deliveries.
- Excellent knowledge in Swedish and English.
