In the last few years, our business has gone from an idea of - let's see what we can do if we focus on quality and co-creation with our happy customers - to a rather big business reaching over the snowy tops of the world with our two brands Dope and MONTEC. Still with the same ethos, but with a bigger business comes more complexity. We do love challenges at Ridestore, but we also realize when we need additional expertise. In this case, we're looking for a highly skilled person with a passion for managing the relations to our suppliers, to level up the production team at Ridestore. We want you to bring all your experiences, dive into our context, throw out some of your old truths, and, together with the production team, create magic.

What's the role about?

In the short term, your main focus will be, to onboard and get to know Ridestore with all its ins and outs. Building relations, especially with your awesome teammates from every part of the organization. This won't be hard, as the Ridestore crew is welcoming.

In the long term, you will be the maestro of the strategic relations with our tier 1 suppliers of ski wear and accessories. You'll be forging strong partnerships with both new and existing suppliers for our production. In detail, your conversations will span from negotiating business terms to capacity planning and managing lead times. Together with your teammates, the experts in product development, quality, and sustainability, you will ensure that our production processes are efficient and have the highest commitment to quality. Together, we'll make sure that every product that bears the Dope & Montec name is not only top-notch quality but also made with integrity and care. We strive to create initiatives that add value to our customer experience and in this role, you will contribute to making that happen.

Areas we are sure you will cover:
  • Strategic supplier relations: Source, negotiate, lead and coordinate the production process in seamless collaboration with tier 1 suppliers.
  • Product focus: a genuine passion for understanding the features of a product and associated production processes to be able to leverage this knowledge effectively in business negotiations.
  • Problem-solving: Navigate complex challenges and uncertainties, diving into details of the production process, i.e. capacity planning, price negotiations, follow up on agreements, prioritizing and draw the bigger picture.
  • Effective communication: We live in an asynchronized world where your communication skills, your analytical mindset and hands-on approach will inspire others

To handle this role, we need you to have the following:

  • Experience from strategic business partnership with suppliers regarding production process, negotiation, planning, lead times, pricing and analysis.
  • Knowledge from textile industry, preferably collaboration with suppliers in Asia.
  • A keen interest in product development and its impact on production.
  • The ability to communicate complex issues clearly and concisely.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • An understanding of success metrics in the e-commerce world.

Where you'll do it?

Most of the production team, are located in our great office in Gothenburg. So, in this role, we prefer that you are based around Gothenburg or have the flexibility to spend significant time here, especially in the beginning. In general, we offer you big flexibility in how and when you get your work done, as our way of working is digital.
