Amazon Web Services (AWS) is searching for a motivated individual to join their Data Center Engineering Operations Team.

AWS, the leading cloud platform globally, is seeking a Data Center Engineering Operations Technician (EOT) to play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of their data centers. The EOT's primary responsibility is to maintain the data center equipment at peak performance to achieve better than 99.999% uptime.

About the role:

  • Operate and maintain critical equipment including stand-by emergency generators, electrical systems, UPS, ATS, water treatment systems, and more.

Key responsibilities:

  • Execute planned maintenance, daily corrective work, and emergency responses.
  • Work closely with the Data Center Facility Manager and Chief Engineer.
  • Maintain training compliance related to equipment operation and troubleshooting.

A day in the life:

  • Work semi-autonomously on mechanical and electrical equipment.
  • Provide timely escalation for facility issues.
  • Assist junior EOTs and oversee third-party vendors.
  • Utilize tools for change management and asset tracking.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 2+ years of electrical, mechanical, and/or controls experience.
  • Strong communication skills.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Professional Certification in Electrical, Mechanical, or Controls engineering.
  • Knowledge of mechanical room infrastructure and backup generator systems.
