We are currently seeking 3 Development Engineers to join our R&D team in Sundsvall / Timrå / Birsta.

As a Mechanical Development Engineer at Permobil, you will collaborate closely with Test Engineers, Project Managers, and fellow engineers on cross-functional projects. Your main responsibilities will involve designing, developing, and documenting high-quality, user-friendly products for production and assembly. You will play a key role in creating new products and enhancing existing ones, always with a focus on the end user.

In this position, you will be pivotal in ensuring that our products meet technical requirements aligned with user needs and deliver intended performance while adhering to internal and external standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop creative technical solutions and conduct concept studies for current and future products,
• Integrate user needs into product solutions and prioritize user satisfaction,
• Document development work following our stringent quality procedures,
• Depending on your experience level, lead and guide other development engineers,

Skills and Qualifications

• Hold a University degree (Master's or Bachelor's) in mechanical engineering. Previous work experience preferred,
• Proficient in PDM, 3D CAD, and drawings (SolidWorks or equivalent),
• Experience in modular product design, requirements management, and risk analysis,
• Knowledge of materials, surface treatments, and manufacturing techniques,
• Excellent communication skills in both Swedish and English,
• Background in the medical device or automotive industry is a bonus.
