About the position

In this role as Shopper Insights Manager, you will combine research, data analysis for consumer and shopper understanding enabling informed decisions across product development, category management, and marketing initiatives that maximize sales. Act as an area of excellence linked to research techniques, methodology and KPI definition for shopper insights.

What you will do:

Deep Understanding of shopper behaviour

  • Build a shopper foundations framework for Paulig covering universal principles: terminology, segmentation, preferences/motivations, behaviours, drivers, barriers etc during the shopping experience
  • Develop research-based shopper profiles/segmentation to guide marketing efforts, product development, and customer interactions
  • Connect shopper research with consumer research in a structured manner

Research Methods and Recommendations

  • Develop research guidelines, and aid the BA teams in conducting shopper research
  • Analyse data from various sources to extract meaningful patterns and trends
  • Make data-driven recommendations to stakeholders based on the gathered insights

Leadership and organization development:

  • Contribute to the Consumer/Customer First process development (insight generation) and run assigned projects
  • Contribute to the Category Vision process though the shopper research and foundations and run assigned projects
  • Contribute to building a world class competence centre by constantly developing shopper competences in Paulig

You will be based either in Mölndal or Helsinki and report to Human Insight Director and be part of a great team. You will also communicate and collaborate with various stakeholders and empower them to grow.

Your profile

What we expect from you:

  • At least 8 years of experience from shopper insights, such as market research and analysis (quantitative and qualitative studies) in an international context.
  • Ability to translate data to insight, and to draw conclusions from multiple sources of information. Excellent project management skills. Skilled in translating shopper insights into business opportunities. Team player with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent track record in driving change as well as a proven ability of self leadership.
  • Bachelor's degree in market research or similar
  • Fluency in English
  • Knowledge of Nielsen and Power BI
