What is the opportunity?

To support business development and client relationship management activities in the Nordics, working in close collaboration with the Stockholm-based business development Director for RBC BlueBay Asset management. This role is based in Stockholm but initially spending time in London for orientation purposes.

What will you do?

  • Supporting the business development teams in managing the relationship with institutional clients, global and local financial institutions and consultants, and in sales and marketing activities.
  • Taking responsibility for client reporting matters/delivery (working closely with RBC BlueBay's Client Reporting team) and other periodic reports for marketing purposes.
  • Coordinating presentation material for pitches and client reviews, working with RBC BlueBay's Presentations team and Institutional Portfolio Managers.
  • Dealing with client/prospect information requests, guided by the responsible sales/client relations person as needed.
  • Hosting calls and meetings when required and where appropriate for due diligence, review or servicing purposes.
  • Supporting the on-boarding of sub-advisory mandates and segregated accounts, transitions, and mandate changes, collaborating with Client Operations and Legal to ensure smooth and timely execution of contracts and agreements.
  • Managing ongoing client activity in sub-advisory mandates and segregated accounts, including but not limited to coordinating cashflows and assisting in the monitoring of investment guidelines.
  • Working with Client Operations in coordinating the setup of new distribution and rebate agreements for pooled fund clients, and reviewing any changes to them.
  • Maintaining and leveraging off the firm's Management Information System (currently SalesForce) to ensure the effective implementation of regional relationship and servicing processes.
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues in all related functions to build strong internal relationships to effectively support the regional business development activities.
  • Personally, reinforcing excellence across RBC BlueBay's stated cultural values and standards both inside the firm and as a representative of RBC BlueBay in the market.
  • Developing a deep understanding of client needs and objectives.
  • Building and maintaining knowledge of the regulatory environment clients operate in.
  • Continually building and deepening knowledge of RBC BlueBay's products. Keeping abreast of market developments.
  • Contributing to enhancing RBC BlueBay's service to clients through proactive participation in a variety of initiatives and projects.

What do you need to succeed?

Must have

  • Good understanding of financial markets and products. Experience within the asset management industry preferred.
  • Technologically literate.
  • Fluency in English and Swedish

Nice to have

  • other Nordic language skills desirable
