We are now recruiting a Director of Operations for Navinci Diagnostics, a Swedish biotechnology company that is dedicated to pursuing innovative ways for in situ protein analysis. The ideal candidate is confident and solution-oriented with experience from leadership roles within production, quality control and design transfer of immunoassay reagent kits in an IVD regulated environment.

The person will be a member of the Navinci Leadership Team (NLT) and will report to CEO.

Navinci advances science by offering tools to reveal the functional interplay of proteins directly in tissue biopsies and single cells. Navinci is now rapidly expanding its business internationally and have recently moved to new fit-for-purpose facilities in Uppsala Science Park. Read more:

Responsibilities & tasks

  • Lead the company together with the CEO and leadership team
  • Build and mentor the Operations team into a complete organization with capability and capacity to meet the growing demand and complexity of the product portfolio
  • Determine long term and short term activity goals and set KPIs for department and team
  • Develop and execute on a long-term plan for production scale-up
  • Design Transfer of new products into production
  • Participate actively (hands-on) in production and/or QC if needed
  • Prepare and maintain SOPs, forms, and production records
  • Create and implement new processes and new products into production processes / Set up CAPA processes
  • Prepare the production department for implementation of an ISO-certified Quality Management System
  • Be member of Project Steering Board following Navinci product development process, including project monitoring, project portfolio prioritization, and gate decisions

Experience & skills

Education:

  • BSc or MSc in relevant life science, biochemistry, or biotechnology area

Experience and skills:

  • +10 years life science industrial experience
  • +5 years in production within life science, preferably within IVD industry
  • +5 years of experience from leadership positions
  • Excellent in situational leadership, motivational leadership, coaching, constructive feedback and change management
  • Experience from leadership roles within production, quality control and design transfer of immunoassay reagent kits in an IVD regulated environment
  • Extensive experience working in Quality Management Systems, preferably ISO13485
  • Experience in building successful teams
  • Strong networking skills
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills in writing and oral, in Swedish and English
