The Instrumentation and Control team drives the implementation, quality assurance and operational support for the SCADA systems of the high-voltage and substations as well as for the generation & storage assets (WTG, PV and Storage) of our onshore wind farms and PV plants. As SCADA and Communications Engineer you work in a project-oriented manner and assume technical responsibility during the development and construction phase of the projects as well as provide operational support during their subsequent operational phases, by performing engineering activities, remote configurations, site implementations and contractor steering.

Your future plans

You define and prepare technical specificationsYou are responsible for checking the designs provided by contractors and suppliersYou design system interfaces, develop and implement them furtherYou are responsible for carrying out the quality and acceptance tests of the contractors and ensure that they are carried out and documented according to the specifications (FAT and SAT)You accompany complex commissioning activities of the suppliers and check their resultsYou coordinate, prioritize, track and perform troubleshooting and maintenance of related systems with the operations teamsYou track the life expectancy of the associated systems and coordinate the actions to extend their life (upgrades, refreshes, replacements)You manage contractors who perform activities of design, implementation, maintenance and troubleshooting on the relevant systemsYou lead and drive SCADA projects to optimize monitoring and control functions and data availabilityYou are an active member of an international team where knowledge, experience, achievements and lessons learned are continuously sharedYou facilitate good collaboration and knowledge sharing with other teams in the renewable energy business units

Your profile:

University Degree or equivalent in a relevant technical or engineering discipline or equivalent experienceAt least 5 years of relevant professional experience and experience with SCADA systemsExperience with control systems, automation, SCADA, PLCs, RTUs and IEDsExperience in SCADA systems in fields of high-voltage and substations, wind turbines and/or solar plants and their infrastructure is a plusExperience with industrial communication protocols (especially OPC family, Modbus, IEC-104 and MMS) and their network-specific behaviorsKnowledge of SQL server queries, experience in SQL server administration is a pluExperience in Restful API for industrial data transfer is a plusExperience in VMware ESXI and hardware installation and administration is a plusBeing suitable to work inside a Wind Turbine (trainings will be provided by the Employer) is a plusRelevant Project Management skills as well as experience with supervision of contractorsAbility to communicate clear and concisely Ability to conduct risk analysis and implement risk mitigation plansAbility to multi-task as needed and schedule according to project priorityExperience or knowledge of cybersecurity requirements for critical infrastructure is a plusExpected average travel during the working week expected 20%-30%Driving license valid in EU/UKFluent in written and spoken English. Other languages like Swedish, French, German, Italian or Spanish are a plus
