Join us as a Group Manager Train Control V&V in Västerås, Sweden, to lead our team of verification and validation engineers for Train Control & Communication platforms.

 

Your future role 

As Group Manager for our V&V team, you will be responsible for managing a team of test designers and test leads, to ensure that they have the necessary resources and support to achieve their goals. You will in this task work closely with the other development teams, program managers as well as external stakeholders and colleagues in our global organization.

We'll look to you for:

  • Lead and manage a team of V&V engineers to achieve goals in embedded electronic platforms development for rail controls.
  • Ensure the quality and accuracy of test deliverables, innovate and improve on our existing solutions, both in terms of test solutions and in the products.
  • Foster a collaborative and inclusive team culture that promotes diversity and inclusion.
  • Promote a safe and healthy work environment.
  • Manage capacity and competence planning in close collaboration with the development programs.
  • Drive continuous improvements.
  • Communicate effectively with clients and stakeholders.

 

  All about you:

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
  • At least 5 years of experience in test engineering leadership.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Experience working with testing in embedded development projects.
  • Experience of testing and development in safety-critical systems development, according to safety standards such as CENELEC (EN50126, EN50128, EN50129) or equivalent.
  • Familiarity with Hardware, Software and environmental testing.
  • Experience mentoring and developing test engineers.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Commitment to diversity and inclusion.
  • English at a fluent level is mandatory for this role, Swedish will be considered a plus.
