The Sr Materials Planner position is responsible for continuity of supply of raw materials replenishment and the dynamic movement/distribution of subassemblies/semi-finished goods, management policies, processes, standard work, data integrity, compliance, system administration and Operations support. The role requires a quick turnaround time and providing key feedback to the stakeholder(s).

This position is part of the Instrument team and will be located on-site in Solna. At Cepheid, our vision is to be the leading provider of seamlessly connected diagnostic solutions.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

Partner with IMAG (Inventory Management at Gemba) to maintain and continuously improve material inventory velocity Analyze data and present results with recommendations for how to increase efficiency of material and to assess inventory levels against customer needs Work closely within the Engineering team on exploration of product and/or process problems issue to create and resolve Change Orders and implement materials management modifications (identify the impact of changes, material planning, and disposition) Work closely with other Supply Chain Operations functions, Finance and Manufacturing to achieve continuous material flow

The essential requirements of the job include:

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or similar 7+ years of work experience in similar position Experience leading parameter initiation in SAP or related MRP platform to ensure continuity of supply to manufacturing and On Time Delivery to of Finished Goods to customers Experience in BOM analysis, Materials data management, and Standard Work Strong understanding of Product Lifecycle Management and software experience: SAP / Agile / Winshuttle / MS Office (Particularly Excel) Must be able to effectively communicate with and influence cross-functional teams Fluent in spoken and written English Ability to travel to US and India a couple of times a year

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

Master’s degree Supply chain or Industrial Engineering In spoken and written Swedish
