The field-based metabolic market access manager role plays a key regional role in optimising sub-national access for Lilly products in the metabolic therapy area. The role will require an entrepreneurial mindset and exemplary stakeholder management to achieve win-win outcomes for Lilly and healthcare providers. Candidates should expect significant face-to-face engagement with multiple external stakeholders including payers and healthcare professionals.

The role will require extensive collaboration with cross-functional teams to devise localised account plans aimed at fostering advocacy and ensuring optimal access and uptake of Lilly brands. The candidate should demonstrate agile problem-solving ability to overcome local obstacles and expedite market access enabling the compliant prescribing of Lilly brands for appropriate patients. The role should leverage tailored value propositions to integrate Lilly’s medicines within healthcare ecosystems – e.g. via local guidelines, protocols and pathways.

Core responsibilities for the Metabolic Market Access Manager include (but are not limited to):

Develop an in-depth understanding of funding flows, formulary listings and local decision making across Swedish regions; build relationships with key formulary decision-makers to ensure a deep understanding of the Lilly value proposition

Develop targeted regional action plans to ensure Lilly products are optimally positioned on regional recommendation lists which influence both reimbursed and OOP prescribing decisions

Identify key regional payers and develop mutually beneficial relationships to ensure Lilly is seen as a key partner in the Metabolic therapy areas

Position Metabolic diseases as key healthcare priorities for regions to ensure appropriate resource is invested to improve population health outcomes

Collaborate with relevant head office team members to explore the feasibility and where possible lead the implementation of alternative access models in partnership with regions to ensure market access for Lilly products – e.g. three-party agreements, confidential regional rebate agreements, outcomes-based agreements.

As key contact person from Lilly with the regions, support the introduction of new Lilly products and remove potential obstacles that could limit access of Lilly medicines to patients

Bring the outside in by providing clear and concise market access environmental understanding into the business unit that may be relevant to the brand/therapeutic area

Leverage approved market access materials to demonstrate the value proposition of Lilly medicines in a concise and compelling manner

Compliantly engage with budget holders for horizon scanning/early awareness of Lilly medicines to prepare for their entry into the Swedish healthcare system

Translate insights from the regional healthcare system into actionable strategies and tactics to accelerate growth within local accounts.
