The role

As a Sustainability Manager, you are part of our central sustainability team supporting colleagues and customers with deep knowledge and understanding of the challenges and opportunities ahead of us.

In this role, you are responsible to ensure that Duni Group has an updated and informed understanding around circularity and sustainability regulation, how it impacts the organisation, our business and our portfolio, and how we position ourselves with well-founded claims towards key stakeholders. It includes responsibility to lead & coordinate our Circularity efforts in developing solutions that allows Duni Group to become Circular at Scale, support the organisation with responses to customer requirements and external sustainability claims. Ultimately, the role should help make Duni Group a trusted sustainability leader in our industry.

Your responsibilities include:

  • Maintain expertise in circularity and circular economy and be the external spokesperson on this topic
  • Monitor and understand key EU and national regulation related to packaging, materials and end-of-life and propose relevant positions for Duni Group and our portfolio of products
  • Coordinate Duni Group’s efforts in circularity cross-functionally and ensure that results are in line with the agreed strategy
  • Facilitate and coordinate a group of experts in the market organisation to ensure local understanding of and adaption to regulations affecting our portfolio
  • Support the organisation with relevant circularity tools and information to ensure a competitive and relevant circularity position and sustainability claims, enabling Duni Group to capture the value from sustainability improvements
  • Translate regulatory understanding into support for central and regional marketing with input to product claims and communication to ensure market relevance and correctness
Who are you?

We believe you have extensive professional experience and knowledge related to sustainability, regulation, and circularity in an international environmentYou have a university degree in a sustainability area, e.g. Environmental Engineering, Environmental Sciences, or a relevant academic area with a clear sustainability focus, e.g. Public Policy, Communications, Marketing. Since you will be working in an international environment you have excellent written and spoken English, and proficiency in Swedish and/or German is considered as a merit.

  • You have a deep and fundamental understanding of sustainability as a topic, also understanding end-of-life and circular economy perspectives for packaging and materials

  • You have experience in analyzing regulatory processes and documentation for developing sustainability positioning for companies and products

  • Experience from change management and stakeholder management

As a person you take initiative and are accountable for own and others’ commitments while maintaining a high level of integrity.
