In the segment IT Supply we are looking for an N-4 Manager for Network Traffic Path Management. This team will be newly build functional cross all Vattenfall countries. Therefore we are looking for a manager being based in one of the Vattenfall countries.

Network Traffic Path Management, while not directly managing the underlying hardware, plays a key role in overseeing network traffic and is primarily responsible for handling firewall configurations across all IT systems. Whether these systems are hosted in data centers or within network infrastructure, this team ensures seamless communication between applications and services across the network. Their core responsibilities include managing firewall rules and configuring necessary openings, which requires a deep understanding of network traffic patterns and organizational security requirements. They collaborate closely with the security team to maintain a secure network infrastructure. In addition to security, this team optimizes network performance by managing traffic flow and working with network operations to select the most efficient routes. As leaders within the network department, they also support other network teams in transitioning to an automated delivery model. A key focus for the team is developing and refining automation for Traffic Path Management (TPM), empowering IT units to request communication paths more efficiently. Their goal is to advance this automation towards an end-to-end model, ultimately achieving self-optimization comparable to a level-five automation in the automotive industry. Moreover, the team manages proxy services, necessitating a thorough understanding of both network traffic patterns and the organization’s security requirements.
