Position Description:

The Senior Consultant of Financial Business Services (FBS) is an accounting expert to deliver standard general accounting support to the legal entity. As senior consultant in the FBS team, your focus areas will be local financial statements, audits, local taxation, statistical reporting, review and documentation of the monthly balance sheets and consultant for accounting treatment (also in the case of Mergers & Acquisitions), reporting directly to the Manager FBS.

Your future duties and responsibilities:

•Demonstrate excellent technical accounting expertise and knowledge of accounting standards, both IFRS and local GAAP.
•Produce statutory financial statements and manage external audits
•Accurate and timely submission of tax declarations (indirect tax)
•Involvement in SOX and various compliance accounting (direct and indirect taxes, payroll, statutory FS)
•Involvement in specific areas of the monthly closing (e.g. member related accruals)
•Ensure accuracy and completeness of all asset and liability accounts, in accordance with IFRS and local GAAP
•Continuous process improvement of Finance & Accounting services
•Develop the local FBS finance team.
•Work closely with the Manager FBS and be a delegate.

Required qualifications to be successful in this role:

Functional/Technical
•Excellent knowledge of IFRS and local GAAP
•Able to set up financial statement, cash-flow, and tax preparation & filing
•Good knowledge of local tax and financial compliance
•Knowledgeable in ERP systems
•MS Office tools (Excel, PowerPoint)
•Oracle finance applications knowledge is considered an asset

REQUIREMENTS GEOGRAPHIC
•Local responsibility requiring limited travel
•Located in main location/geography (Stockholm)

QUALIFICATIONS & EDUCATION
•University Degree and an accounting designation (CPA – CMA, CGA, CA, CIMA, ACCA)
•Proficient in the English Language (written and spoken) is required
•Fluent in Swedish and/or Norwegian

EXPERIENCE
•Working in a complex high volume multi-site international services organization
•Working with auditors and/or internal controls within a SOX control environment
•Managing financial teams
•Providing coaching and training to various stakeholders
•Experience, proficiency and comfort in communicating and working effectively at various levels
•Proven experience in continuous process improvement in a finance environment
•Experience in a Service industry is preferred
