Over the last 18 months we have invested in, launched, developed, validated and grown new business and innovation concepts such as HejWorkshop, Circuit, Saluhall, Creator, eSport, One Planet and WoW Experience. Previous senior experience in all aspects of operational and commercial activities of coworking space, shopping centre, retail, hospitality, or service industry.
Aptitude to promote innovation, digitalization, and process enhancements to elevate performance standards.
Ability to coach, guide and develop talent, supporting their professional growth and leading teams.
Great networking skills that allow you to cultivate and maintain strategic business connections.

A day in your life with us

As an Operational Manager at Ingka Centres, you will oversee and develop operational standards of a new business unit, in collaboration and partnership with various internal and external stakeholders. You will promote close collaboration across IKEA and Ingka Centres, leveraging our collective skills to improve business performance. You will create a clear roadmap, predicting trends and sales trajectories and guide your decisions with precision to lead new business ventures within Ingka Centers.

Managing the global operations of our new business unit involves more than just overseeing it's about leading, challenging, inspiring, and supporting our site leaders and partners to reach their full potential. You develop and improve processes to enhance efficiency, making sure that everything runs smoothly, and environment is safe and secure. You will be there to guide them in refining our location direction and targets.

Setting the bar high, you will also establish global direction and operational standard targets. We're all about simplicity and operational standards, whether it's boosting efficiency, embracing sustainability, enhancing customer support, or diving into the world of digitalization. You will own and analyze profit and loss, and pinpoint areas for collective and specific improvements, bringing us closer to our goals and ensure every decision is a step towards success. Additionally, you will:

Lead and develop a highly motivated and performing team (co-workers & external consultants/partners)
Oversee global operations of new business unit; by developing, challenging, inspiring, and supporting site leaders and partners on their performance, including development and refinement of location direction and targets.
Set global direction and operational standard targets to achieve simplicity and operational standards in operational efficiency, sustainability, customer support, digitalization or other.
Ensure the right operations standards, tools and processes are in place to meet new business needs.
Analyze new business profit and loss, identify areas of collective/specific needs and improvements.
Lead and coordinate budget, business plan and action plans to ensure business improvements and best practises across the new business units including growth plan of the new business
Lead and own the total profit & loss of the new business unit in self-operated locations.
This is a temporary 3-year assignment. You'll report to Anna Steyn at Ingka Centres, and be based in Malmo, Sweden; Stockholm, Sweden; Madrid, Spain; or Warsaw, Poland.

this role, you will belong to the Commercial & Digital Domain. The Commercial & Digital domain acts as an engine towards the meeting place transformation. The domain works across the Strategy & Insights, Concept & Customer Experience, New Business & Innovation and Digital subdomains.
