The European Broadcasting Union (EBU) is looking for a Fan Engagement Coordinator.
ABOUT THE EBU MEDIA DEPARTMENT – EUROVISION SONG CONTEST UNIT
The Eurovision Song Contest (ESC) is the world's largest live music event, bringing together 37 participating broadcasters and a global audience of over 166 million viewers. United by Music, the Contest celebrates creativity, diversity, and connection across borders
In 2025, the Contest continues to break digital engagement records — with billions of views across TikTok, Instagram, and YouTube — while hosting cities like Basel welcome hundreds of thousands of fans for unforgettable live experiences.
As part of the ESC Digital Team, the Fan Engagement Coordinator will help shape how fans around the world connect with the Contest and its community, combining creativity, marketing communication, and audience engagement to make every fan feel part of the Eurovision family.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS POSITION
- Create and edit engaging, fan-facing content across newsletters, websites, social media, push notifications, and campaign copy.
- Support fan-focused initiatives — from online competitions and partner activations to live fan events and community schemes.
- Collaborate with internal teams (editorial, communications, commercial, and partners) to ensure storytelling consistency across channels.
- Work closely with social media moderation partners and technical stakeholders to deliver a smooth and engaging fan experience.
- Ensure all communications align with the Eurovision brand voice and contribute to measurable engagement outcomes — including ticket sales, subscriptions, and merchandise.
- Help define and maintain the tone of voice for fan communications across all digital touchpoints.
YOUR SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE
- At least 2 years of relevant experience in communications, digital marketing, or fan engagement.
- Strong, adaptable copywriting skills across social media, newsletters, and web content - this is crucial.
- Confident user of CRM and content management systems for campaign delivery.
- Ability to engage confidently with fans, influencers, and artists both online and in person.
- Highly organised, proactive, and able to balance writing deadlines with project coordination.
- Personable and confident in managing stakeholder relationships.
LANGUAGE
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English.
- Additional languages are an asset.
EDUCATION
- Professional or high school qualification minimum.
- Degree or certification in communications, marketing, or media is an advantage.
ADDED VALUE
- Fan or community management.
- Digital marketing, live events, or cultural programming.
- Knowledge of pop music, fandom culture, and global entertainment trends.
