About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced
Freelance Embedded Electronics Developer
for a long-term freelance assignment in Västerås. You will be involved throughout the full lifecycle — from concept and architecture through to serial production — with exposure to both customer-facing innovation and hands-on lab work.

Responsibilities:

  • Drive electronic architecture from concept through to production handover.
  • Design
    analogue and digital circuitry
    ,
    schematics
    ,
    PCB
    layout input and
    component
    selection.
  • Analyse signal integrity and perform relevant
    simulations
    .
  • Collaborate closely with project teams and customers across diverse technical domains.
  • Prepare documentation, specifications, and technical reports.
  • Support
    EMC
    compliance,
    high-speed signalling
    , and robustness considerations.
  • Participate in design reviews and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.

Skills & Experience:

  • Minimum 5 years of professional experience in embedded electronic hardware design.
  • Strong background in both digital and analogue circuit design.
  • Proficiency in simulation tools for signal integrity analysis.
  • Broad experience across concept, architecture, schematic capture, and layout influence.
  • Ability to collaborate directly with manufacturing and follow designs into production.
  • Experience with
    Altium Designer
    (preferred development environment).
  • Experience with
    high-speed digital design (≥ 10 Mbit/s).
  • Knowledge of
    EMC compliance
    principles.
  • Familiarity with Keysight PathWave tools.
