Security Operations Engineer

I will need to hire a dedicated Security & Compliance Specialist to take full ownership of our security posture, regulatory compliance, and cross-team coordination.

This role sits at the intersection of IT security, cloud platforms, and governance, and will be responsible for delivering both operational security and strategic oversight.

Role Responsibilities & Deliverables

Cross-Team Coordination & Leadership


• Lead meetings, planning sessions, analysis work, and daily communication with IT, business stakeholders, and external partners.


• Act as the primary representative during customer audits.

Security Ownership


• Full responsibility for TSP security, ensuring strict adherence to all customer, legal, and regulatory requirements.


• Maintain compliance with relevant regulations including NIS2 and GDPR.


• Produce regular security reports and provide immediate updates during incidents or events.

Security Tools & Platform Management


• Operate and manage security tools: PKI systems, application reinforcement solutions, vulnerability scanners, and vulnerability management platforms.

Vulnerability Management


• Run vulnerability scanning across systems and networks.


• Perform risk assessments and drive remediation work.


• Plan, execute, and coordinate penetration testing activities.

Security Policy Development


• Define, update, and enforce security policies across network, data, identity, and cloud environments based on organizational needs.

Incident Response


• Respond rapidly to security incidents (e.g., attacks, data leakage).


• Ensure all events are documented and reported in accordance with NIS2 and GDPR requirements.

Risk Management


• Continuously assess system security risks and implement mitigation strategies.

Training & Education


• Deliver security awareness training and skill-building programs for employees and users.

Security Audits & Documentation


• Conduct regular audits of systems, including access logs, permissions, and configuration baselines.


• Ensure alignment with customer audit expectations and documentation standards.

Qualifications & Required Skills

Must-Have Competences


• Strong experience with cloud security (AWS, Azure, or GCP).


• Knowledge of PKI, IAM, GDPR, NIS2.


• Hands-on experience with SIEM platforms (Splunk, Elastic, Sentinel, etc.).


• Experience implementing logging, alerting, dashboards, and cloud-native monitoring.


• Strong background in security architecture and compliance.


• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.

Nice-to-Have Competences


• Experience working in Agile environments (Scrum, Kanban).


• Knowledge of DevOps workflows (Git, CI/CD).


• Familiarity with DevSecOps controls and pipeline security.


• Experience with messaging systems like Kafka or MQTT.
