Join Stillfront as a Senior Data Engineer onsite in Stockholm and take your career to the next level in a truly global gaming environment In this role, you will be at the heart of our distributed Data Platform team, building and maintaining robust data pipelines and analytical solutions that empower game studios, hubs (marketing, ad monetization, finance), and strategic projects across the group.

You'll work directly with our studios to understand their unique data needs, uncover opportunities to leverage our group-wide data technologies, and champion best practices. Your work will create synergies that elevate the entire organization's data capabilities.

Our Data Platform operates with open-source principles. You'll collaborate closely with multiple stakeholders to enhance data quality and richness. From integrating game data end-to-end to building systems for gaming studios, your contributions will directly enable data-driven decision-making and shape the future of our games.

YOUR MISSION

  • Design, build, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines using modern data tools (e.g., dbt, Airflow, Spark, etc.)

  • Develop and maintain robust data models in our warehouse (e.g., Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift)

  • Monitor data quality, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement long-term improvements

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data needs and translate them into technical solutions

  • Build advanced data tools, automations, and internal utilities in Python - from small scripts to complex engineering solutions - to support analytics, pipeline reliability, and internal workflows

  • Take full ownership of Python-based problem solving: you should feel confident engineering solutions even when requirements go beyond classic analytics tasks

YOUR BACKSTORY

  • 5+ years of professional experience in data engineering

  • Passion for building and maintaining strong professional relationships to support effective collaboration in international and multicultural environments

  • Proficiency in SQL and Python 

  • Well-developed engineering skills with a strong foundation in Git version control

  • Experience with cloud data platforms (AWS, GCP, or Azure)

  • Familiarity with BI tools like Looker, Tableau, or Power BI

  • Experience with data ops or orchestration tools (e.g., dbt, Airflow)

  • Strong understanding of data modeling, data warehousing, and ETL design

  • Ability to communicate technical concepts clearly to non-technical stakeholders

  • A product mindset: you care about the "why" behind the data, not just the "how"

NICE TO HAVE

  • Exposure to CI/CD and version control (Git) in a data context

  • Familiarity with event tracking, product analytics, or experimentation frameworks

Must-have:

  • Existing visa to work in Stockholm

  • Ability to come to the Stockholm office at least 3x/week
