Introduction:
Thesis work is an excellent way to get closer to Scania and build relationships for the future. Many of today's employees began their Scania career with their degree project. The thesis work subject reflects Scanias need for development in different areas and the results from the thesis work is always highly appreciated. 
Background:
In general, the test methods for evaluating and verifying our products are always in need of improvements. One environmental aspect that is of great concern for trucks and buses are the vibrations induced by road loads and the powertrain. To be able to do realistic and efficient vibration testing of our components we need relevant vibration loads in our test rigs that represents the actual loads in the field.  
Objective:
The purpose of this thesis work is to improve Scanias method for performing vibration testing of electrical components, focusing on the high frequency range between Hz.
Job description: 
To investigate how well the vibration profile in the higher frequency range correlates between the test rig and truck measurements. And investigate the variation between DUT:s during rig test. 


•    Perform a literature study of previous work in this area.

•    Using existing data to understand how and why the vibration content in the high frequency range differs between the rig test and the truck measurement. And investigate the consequences.

•    Perform vibration testing in a shaker rig to further understand the importance of the high frequency vibrations.

•    Example of topics that are of interest in the evaluation:

      o    How does different components and positions on the truck effect the conclusion?
      o    Road induced/powertrain induced vibrations
      o    How does the vibration test equipment effect the high frequency vibrations?
      o    What measures can be introduced to minimize problems when testing components in the high frequency range.
      o    Statistical considerations
