Tech Lead

What You'll Do

  • Shape technical direction: define architectural decisions that ensure performance, reliability, and scalability while collaborating with our Chief Architect.
  • Lead and support the team: guide, coach, mentor, and foster ownership and collaboration
  • Drive delivery: oversee sprint planning, prioritization, and communication with product & design. Ensuring smooth execution and clear communication with product and design partners.
  • Contribute hands-on: review PRs, solve complex problems, and set coding standards
  • Champion engineering excellence: CI/CD, observability, automation, knowledge sharing
  • Collaborate cross-functionally: with product, design, and other tech leads to align vision and execution

What You Bring
Experience & Leadership

  • Proven experience as a Tech Lead or similar role guiding engineering delivery
  • Ability to balance hands-on coding with planning, prioritization, and mentoring
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to build trust and alignment across teams

Technical Skills

  • Strong backend development background, ideally with Go
  • Experience building and scaling distributed systems in production
  • Knowledge of cloud-native environments (GCP, Kubernetes) and DevOps workflows (Terraform, GitHub Actions)
  • Familiarity with observability (Linkerd, Prometheus, Grafana) and data/storage tech (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Redis, Google Pub/Sub)
  • Comfortable working in continuous delivery environments

Mindset & Approach

  • Product-drive: you think in outcomes, not just output. You'll collaborate closely with PMs to understand the bigger picture, challenge assumptions, and weigh the technical tradeoffs necessary to deliver maximum value to our users, not just complete a ticket.
  • Pragmatic & strategic: balancing speed, quality, and long-term sustainability.
  • Collaborative: you thrive in cross-functional teams and enjoy bringing others along.
  • Growth-oriented: curious about emerging technologies, open to learning and improving.

Nice to have

  • Experience in SaaS, e-commerce, or logistics platforms
  • Interest in using AI tools to accelerate development
  • Experience mentoring across multiple teams or scaling engineering orgs
  • Some exposure to frontend or full-stack environments
