Data is at the very heart of Hemnet's mission. We are now looking for a Tech Lead Manager for our Data & ML team to take on a key strategic role in shaping the future of data at Sweden's largest property platform.

This is a unique opportunity to lead and grow a team of talented engineers while setting the technical vision for our entire data ecosystem. What you'll do

As the Tech Lead Manager for Data & ML, you will be a hybrid leader, blending deep technical expertise with empowering people management. You will:

Team Leadership: Lead, mentor, and grow the Data&ML team, fostering a culture of technical excellence and continuous learning.

Technical coaching: Guide professional development by coaching engineers on design choices and introducing modern data practices.

Strategic vision: Play a key role in shaping Hemnet's data strategy while acting as the lead architect for our platform and MLOps infrastructure.

Cross-functional collaboration: Partner with Product and Analytics to translate business needs into a robust, scalable data architecture.

Data excellence: Champion data reliability, accessibility, and security, enabling teams across Hemnet to make confident decisions.

Hands-on Leadership: Balance technical guidance with effective delegation, empowering the team to own their domains while maintaining architectural cohesion.

Who you are

We're looking for a leader who is as excited about architecting platforms as they are about growing people.

Must-haves:

Deep expertise in modern data platforms and a proven track record of designing, building, and maintaining scalable data architecture.

A passionate and pragmatic leader with proven experience in mentoring and developing engineering teams, helping them adopt new practices and grow their skills.

A strategic, architectural mindset. You see the big picture and know when to build and when to buy, always making pragmatic technical decisions that serve the company's long-term goals.

Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. You can articulate complex technical concepts and new ideas to diverse audiences.

Big plus, but not required:

Hands-on experience with Machine Learning, particularly in MLOps (building and deploying ML models in production).

Experience in a fast-paced, product-driven tech company.

Hi, I'm Andreas and I lead the Enabler domain at Hemnet, which includes Data/ML, Platform and AI enablement. My background spans engineering and product leadership in different types of organizations, and earlier in my career I worked hands-on with building products.

A Hybrid Way of Working Our vibrant office in central Stockholm is the hub of our collaboration and culture, providing a lively space that fosters team spirit. We come together in the office three days a week, with two flexible remote days. To be part of our team, it's essential to be based in or near Stockholm.
