Primrock is a fast-growing company operating at the intersection of energy markets, infrastructure development, and system operations.

Primrock is recruiting a Head of Project Development
to lead development activities for forthcoming peak generation and energy storage projects planned for commissioning in
2027–2028
.

You will be responsible for preparing new sites from early-stage opportunity through investment-ready status. This includes land, permitting, grid connection, commercial structuring, and coordination across internal and external stakeholders. The role reports to senior management and has end-to-end accountability for the project development function.

As Head of Project Development, you will:

  • Lead development of large-scale peak generation and energy storage projects from concept to Notice to Proceed (NTP)
  • Identify, evaluate, and secure new project sites aligned with Primrock's asset strategy
  • Manage permitting processes, environmental assessments, zoning, and regulatory approvals
  • Lead grid connection processes with TSOs and DSOs, including technical and commercial negotiations
  • Coordinate technical layouts, site design, and development inputs with engineering and operations teams
  • Structure and manage external advisors, consultants, landowners, and public authorities
  • Prepare investment cases, schedules, budgets, and risk assessments for internal decision-making
  • Build and lead a small, high-performing project development team as the pipeline grows

Requirements

We are looking for a candidate with a strong combination of analytical capability, execution mindset, and infrastructure development experience.

Required qualifications and experience:

  • Master's degree in Engineering, Economics, Finance, or a related field; MBA is a merit
  • Preferably, at least
    5 years of relevant experience
    in project development, infrastructure, energy, or industrial investments
  • Proven experience leading complex development processes with multiple stakeholders
  • Strong understanding of permitting, land agreements, and infrastructure development economics
  • Excellent analytical skills with the ability to translate complexity into decision-ready material
  • Full professional proficiency in
    Swedish and English

Meriting experience:

  • Experience within power generation, energy storage, grid infrastructure, or energy markets
  • Exposure to Nordic electricity markets, system services, or regulated infrastructure
  • Experience operating under time pressure and with capital-intensive projects
