Role Overview

As a junior Legal Counsel, you'll work closely with our Lead Counsel Nordics to deliver practical, proactive legal support across Benifex. This is a key role where you'll balance hands-on commercial contract work with strategic legal advice, helping shape how we protect and empower our business as we grow.

You'll partner with stakeholders across Sales, Customer Success, Product, Finance, and Information Security, offering trusted, business-oriented legal guidance. From negotiating contracts to advising on new products and data protection, your work will directly influence how we scale responsibly across the Nordic market.

This role can be based in our Stockholm or Gothenburg office.

What You'll Be Doing

• Acting as a pragmatic, trusted advisor to our teams, providing first-class legal support across Benifex.
• Reviewing, drafting, and negotiating commercial contracts, renewals, and variations with clients, suppliers, and partners.
• Advising on data protection and compliance matters, helping ensure the business meets its regulatory obligations.
• Supporting new product launches and strategic business projects with clear, actionable legal input.
• Helping design and implement streamlined, customer-friendly contracting processes that balance agility and governance.
• Delivering internal training on legal and compliance developments.

What we're looking for

• Swedish law degree (LL.M.).
• Fluency in Swedish and English (both written and spoken).
• 1+ years of experience as an in-house Legal Counsel or Legal Associate, OR prior experience as a Summer Associate at a reputable law firm.
• Adaptability: In a growing and evolving company, adaptability is key. You'll need to quickly shift priorities and legal strategies to match our fast-paced commercial changes and new market challenges.
• Business Acumen: Your strong business acumen is vital to success. This allows you to provide practical, business-oriented legal advice that balances risk mitigation with our commercial goals and rapid scaling.

Bonus Points For

• Previous experience within commercial contracts and commercial contract laws.
• Previous experience within data protection.
• Previous experience with SaaS-agreements.
• Previous experience working in a customer facing role e.g sales or retail.

Interview + case study with the hiring manager (Lead Counsel Nordics) and a member of the team
