DESCRIPTION

At Sinch, we believe in a strong DevOps culture, uniting software engineering and operations to build world-class products. We're looking for an Engineering Manager to lead the team that empowers our developers with the platforms and tools they need to create products used by the biggest tech companies in the world.

This is more than a management role; it's a strategic leadership position where you will shape our technical direction, drive execution, and foster a culture of excellence. Key Tasks and Responsibilities:

• Lead & Empower: Guide and mentor a talented engineering team, fostering their career growth and technical excellence.
• Architect & Innovate: Drive the technical direction for our delivery pipelines, infrastructure, and service orchestration. You'll make key architectural decisions to ensure our systems are robust, scalable, and future-proof.
• Build Self-Service Platforms: Create and maintain world-class, self-service platforms and tools that enable our product teams to deliver with speed and quality.
• Ensure Rock-Solid Reliability: Enhance system observability, lead incident response, and drive improvements to create highly available, mission-critical systems.
• Collaborate & Influence: Work closely with engineering, product, and security teams to translate architectural roadmaps into actionable plans and advocate for engineering best practices.

REQUIREMENTS

• Significant experience in DevOps, SRE, or Platform Engineering, with a proven track record of leadership and accountability for a team's performance and delivery.
• The ability to be a hands-on technical guide, especially in discussions around Kubernetes (Helm, FluxCD), cloud-native design, IaC/GitOps, and CI/CD.
• Deep expertise in building and running high-performance, distributed, and fault-tolerant systems in the cloud.
• Strong programming/scripting skills and a solid understanding of Linux and networking fundamentals.
• Excellent communication skills, with the ability to challenge ideas constructively and foster a collaborative environment.
