Job Description

Your contribution

As a Service Engineer at FLIR Sweden AB (Täby), you will be responsible for ensuring the reliability and performance of our infrared products and lab equipment. Under the supervision of the Service Manager, you will perform diagnosis and troubleshooting at the system level, down to component or subassembly as required, resulting in successful repair and maintenance of Teledyne FLIR Solutions products.

You will also assist internal and external customers by resolving service issues through in‑person support, phone, and email. By providing detailed product feedback and root cause analysis, you will contribute to corrective actions and continuous improvement. This role is essential to maintaining customer satisfaction and strengthening Teledyne FLIR's reputation for technical excellence.

  • Conduct routine repair, calibration/adjustment, diagnosis, service, support, and upgrades to our products
  • Follow guidelines from line manager to achieve departmental KPIs (revenue, turnaround times, repair quality)
  • Provide customer support via telephone, email, and ticketing systems regarding technical repair issues
  • Deliver accurate repair cost estimates to customers
  • Deliver accurate and professional calibration certificates and repair reports as part of service documentation
  • Participate in annual Blackbody calibration activities to ensure compliance and accuracy
  • Support servicing of demo, rental, and trade‑in equipment
  • Participate in scrapping exercises for obsolete material in line with company procedures
  • Handle local inventory storage accurately and responsibly to support Service operations
  • Ensure compliance with company standards and quality requirements
  • Collaborate with colleagues to improve processes and customer outcomes

To be ready to take on this role we would love if you have

  • Prior work experience in a related technical field
  • Strong electro‑mechanical troubleshooting skills, with proficiency in using electronic test equipment (oscilloscopes, voltmeters, signal generators)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Previous experience with SAP or Oracle platforms is an advantage
  • A BS degree in electronics or equivalent is a bonus
  • Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to communicate effectively with internal and external customers
