Coalesce Management Consultancy (CMC) has a consulting assignment available for a Software Engineer to work on a project we have in Lund.

Currently, we're looking for an experienced software engineer to support a Naval project based on-site in Lund. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys a mix of software development, hands-on testing, and commissioning work on real hardware.

You'll be involved in:

  • Working closely with talented engineers to understand and develop the existing software systems
  • Coding in C/C++ and working with structured text for control and automation
  • Bench testing during the early stages of the project to validate system functionality
  • Transitioning into the workshop environment to test and commission software on physical unmanned vehicles
  • Supporting movement and control verification, including rudder and actuator behaviours
  • Contributing to C-testing and ensuring system readiness for deployment

To suit the project requirements, you must have:

  • 5–10 years of experience in software engineering
  • Strong knowledge of C or C++
  • Experience working with autonomous or unmanned systems
  • Background in commissioning, hardware testing, or workshop-based validation
  • Experience with PLC or structured text is beneficial but not essential
  • Understanding of autopilots or subsea systems is an advantage
