Application Engineer

The Transformer Testing business unit at our site in Danderyd is now looking for an Application engineer to strengthen our team. The best fit for this role is a curious person who easily navigates complex matters. We are open for various backgrounds, but experience in high voltage or electrical testing is a strong merit.

About the job

You will be part of a the Transformer Testing business unit consisting of product managers and application specialists.

The core of our business is understanding the customer and our market – in that sense, this position is critical for us. You will join a team of several colleagues who jointly work towards the same goal. So there will be a huge potential to quickly learn new things and take on more responsibilities. You will also quickly build a network of colleagues, partners and customers around the globe.

For the right person there is a high degree of freedom in shaping the role. However, below are some typical tasks and responsibilities:

·       Support our sales channels with application and technical support, product selection and tenders

·       Perform training for sales channels and customers, both on and off site

·       Input ideas, knowledge and other feedback to product roadmap

·       Create customer facing material like articles, application notes and videos

·       Keep informed about technology development, standards, norms and measurement methods

·       Perform validation of newly developed functions

The responibility for this role will mainly be applications and products related to power transformers. However, as we also have multifunctional equipment and many customers cover several application areas, tasks related to circuit breaker testing or relay testing may also occur.

Qualifications

Being an application engineer requires a mix of technical understanding, business sense and interest in the customer so we believe the right personality is more important than exact formal merits. Here are however some things we will look for:

·       M.Sc or similar in a relvant engineering discipline

·       Good common understanding of technology in general

·       Ability to cooperate with a wide range of people, both internally and externally

·       Someone we can trust to make wise choices and handle our customers professionally

·       Good ability to communicate both in writing and speaking

·       Fluent in English and Swedish
