We are now expanding our network of part-time inspectors in Mexico to support growing client demand.

Position Summary

As a 
Part-Time QC Inspector

, you will be our eyes on the ground—conducting product inspections, reporting on manufacturing quality, and helping ensure compliance with client specifications. You'll work closely with Insight's QC Coordinators to deliver reliable, timely, and actionable inspection results.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct 
    pre-shipment inspections
    , 
    in-process inspections
    , and 
    sample verifications
     across a range of consumer product categories (e.g., electronics, toys, furniture, and general merchandise).
  • Follow Insight's inspection protocols, SOPs, and 
    AQL sampling standards
    .
  • Identify and report any 
    critical or major non-conformities
     during inspections.
  • Submit 
    Flash Reports
     before leaving the inspection site and complete full 
    English-language inspection reports
    .
  • Communicate professionally with factory staff and report real-time findings to Insight QC Coordinators.
  • Quote your MD rate and prepare an itinerary upon receiving assignment details.

Requirements

  • Minimum 3 years of hands-on inspection or manufacturing QA experience
    —preferably in consumer products.
  • Familiarity with 
    AQL standards, functional testing, and visual inspections
    .
  • Technical understanding of at least one product category (e.g., home goods, softlines, electronics).
  • Ability to assess and classify defects accurately and objectively.
  • Proficiency in 
    English
     (both written and spoken) for reports and instructions.
  • Detail-oriented with 
    high professional integrity and independence
    .
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

Nice to Have

  • Experience conducting 
    factory audits
     (quality system or social compliance).
  • Background in engineering or technical product analysis.
  • Willingness to 
    travel within Mexico
     for factory visits.
  • College degree or relevant technical certifications.
