Founding Engineer

Noru is building the trust and resilience layer for IT-driven companies, turning the complex, costly, and static world of Governance, Risk, and Compliance (GRC) into a living, continuous, and automated system. We have already secured our first customers — even pre-launch, with strong demand and real-world validation of our approach. The market is shifting fast, and Noru is at the center of that transformation.

We are now hiring our first Founding Engineer — a rare opportunity to join the core team and take complete technical ownership of the platform and the AI intelligence layer. This role is for a builder, not a theorist: someone who turns ambiguity into production systems and learns by doing.

As a Founding Engineer, you will have end-to-end responsibility for the most critical technical components of the Noru platform. Your main responsibilities and typical tasks will include:

• Architect & Productionize Core AI: Design, build, and deploy our primary AI systems and LLM workflows that ingest vast amounts of corporate data (logs, configurations, policies) to perform continuous security and trust validation.
• Foundational Platform Decisions: Establish the core technical architecture (data models, infrastructure, services) that ensures maximum scalability, security, and low-latency performance for real-time GRC monitoring.
• Full-Stack Engineering: Own the implementation across the entire stack—from developing robust data ingestion pipelines in the backend to designing intuitive user interfaces in the front-end that present continuous trust insights.
• System Integration: Develop secure, reliable integration frameworks to connect Noru with diverse enterprise systems (SSO, cloud environments, version control, ticketing systems) to establish a truly "living" GRC platform.
• Pioneering Automation: Translate complex security and compliance standards (e.g., ISO, SOC 2) into elegant, automated, and continuously running validation logic, fulfilling our mission to prove compliance automatically.
• Shape the Product With Us: Work closely with the founders and early customers to rapidly iterate based on feedback and emerging needs.

You likely demonstrate this through a combination of the following:

• Proven Track Record: You have a history of successfully building, shipping, and scaling complex software systems, evidenced by strong professional experience, impactful personal projects, or an elite academic background.
• AI/LLM Proficiency: Direct, hands-on experience building production-grade, data-driven applications utilizing large language models (LLMs), natural language processing (NLP), or complex data processing pipelines.
• First-Principles Thinking: You are a critical and rapid learner who doesn't wait for specifications. You can identify ambiguous business problems, design robust technical solutions from the ground up, and execute independently.
• Technical Fluency: Comfort and proficiency with modern, full-stack development, and experience with modern cloud environments (GCP, AWS, or Azure).
• Domain Passion: A deep interest in cybersecurity, IT resilience, compliance (GRC), or a rapid willingness to master this complex and crucial domain.
