Production Manager / Product Engineer (Shenzhen, China)

About the Role

Atonemo is a Swedish consumer electronics company that operates within the world of audio.

We want to democratize the speaker market and with our first product, we do just that.

The Streamplayer which is soon to be released is an audio streamer that lets you pair and connect any speaker, no matter the brand or age. With it, you can play from your old speakers wirelessly and synchronize two (or more) completely different speakers to one another.

We are now looking for a Production Manager full time, on site in Shenzhen to assist with every step in the production chain and ensure a smooth process.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and support New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, ensuring smooth handover from R&D to production.

  • Develop, evaluate, and maintain production plans and schedules to meet project timelines and quality targets.

  • Monitor production progress and resolve issues to ensure uninterrupted workflow.

  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, quality, and operations teams, identifying the right stakeholders to address challenges.

  • Collect and analyze feedback from production teams, suppliers, and engineers, and create actionable improvement plans.

  • Conduct root cause analyses and implement corrective/preventive actions for production issues.

  • Support continuous improvement efforts to optimize process efficiency, cost, and product quality.

  • Prepare technical documentation and reports as needed.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.

  • Proven experience taking prototypes into mass production, with knowledge of NPI processes.

  • Strong understanding of manufacturing workflows, production planning, and quality control.

  • Excellent cross-departmental communication and coordination skills.

  • Ability to analyze problems and implement process improvements.

  • Fluency in Mandarin Chinese and English, both written and spoken, is essential.

  • Must be eligible to live and work in Shenzhen, China (no visa restrictions).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with electronics or mechanical assembly manufacturing.

  • Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems and production tracking tools.

  • Prior experience in an international or bilingual work environment is a plus.
