Nordic HR Operation Partner –
At Axo Group, we combine a challenger's mindset with a strong Nordic footprint. Since 2008, we've been redefining the loan comparison industry, growing into a fintech company with 180 employees across Sweden, Norway, Denmark, and Finland. Every month, we help thousands of customers improve their personal finances – powered by innovation, collaboration, and a curious, high-performing team.
As we continue to shape one strong Axo culture across the Nordics following our recent acquisition of Zmarta in Sweden, we are looking for an HR Partner to join our People & Culture team and play a key role in driving our growth journey forward.
This is a broad HR role where you will work closely with managers and employees across Sweden and the Nordics. You will be a trusted partner, balancing partly strategic and operational HR tasks. Recruitment will be part of your responsibilities, but the main focus will be on building culture, managing employment law matters, driving HR processes, and supporting leaders with the tools and systems needed to ensure our business goals and people strategy go hand in hand.
Responsibilities
- Act as a trusted partner to managers across the Nordic region.
- Drive and implement HR initiatives to support our cultural integration and build "One Axo."
- Provide guidance on employment law matters and ensure compliance with local labor legislation.
- Partner with leaders on performance management, organizational development, change management, and driving insights from employee surveys.
- Work with HR systems (e.g., HiBob) and data to streamline processes and enable better decision-making.
- Support recruitment processes where needed, with a focus on quality and efficiency.
- Contribute to strengthening our employer brand and employee experience.
- Report directly to the Head of People & Culture.
Qualifications and Experience
- A degree in HR or equivalent professional experience is required.
- 3–5 years of experience in a broad HR role, preferably in an international or nordic setting.
- Good knowledge and interest of employment law, preferably with expertise in Swedish labor law, and practical experience handling HR compliance matters.
- Experience in payroll, system integration, and HR systems such as HiBob is highly valued.
- Fluency in Swedish and English, both spoken and written. Knowledge of another Nordic language is a plus.
Personal Characteristics
We are looking for someone who is:
- A strong communicator with a consultative and solution-oriented mindset.
- Self-driven, structured, and comfortable balancing strategic and operational HR work.
- Collaborative, with the ability to build trust and strong relationships across teams and countries.
- Motivated by working in a fast-paced and ambitious environment.
What we offer
- paid vacation days
- SEK/year in Wellness Allowance
- Pension
- Phone & computer
- Modern offices located in Torsplan, Stockholm
This role provides the opportunity to further establish and develop the HR function of a dynamic Nordic fintech company. The HR department will ensure it effectively supports the business and delivers lasting value to employees. As a performance-driven, privately owned organization with ambitious goals and international ambitions, we pride ourselves on short decision-making processes and quickly turning ideas into action. Travel across the Nordics will be required to visit our various offices.
