The scope of the consultant services :

We're looking for a highly skilled Functional Solution Architect with deep expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations (D365 FO) and Commerce. The ideal candidate will focus on designing and implementing solutions that enhance business processes and ensure seamless integration across enterprise systems, aligning technology with strategic business objectives.

You are an experienced functional solution architect with comprehensive expertise in Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Operations and Commerce within retail. You possess a proven ability to design and deliver solutions that effectively integrate and enhance business processes across enterprise systems. Your strengths lie in translating complex business needs into transformative solutions and enjoy all phases of delivery—from early ideation and requirements gathering to architecture, configuration, functional design, testing, and deployment.

The main tasks in the assignment are as below:

• Functional Solution Development:
  Act as Functional Consultant for D365 FO and Commerce for the team, creating designs that drive business process improvements.
• Design Integration Solutions:
  Lead the design of integration from omnichannel sales order capture systems into D365 FO and Commerce and ensure they address business objectives and drive operational efficiency.
• Ensure Enterprise Alignment:
  Guarantee that all integration solutions complement enterprise architecture, adhere to security protocols, and meet compliance standards.
• Collaborate for Business Impact:
  Partner with functional architects, developers, and product teams to translate business needs into practical, coherent and scalable integration solutions.
• Document and Govern Solutions:
  Maintain documentation of functional design documents (FDD), integration designs (IDD), data contracts, configuration documents and operational procedures to ensure clarity, accountability, and ease of future updates.
• Ensure Quality and Scalability:
  Provide leadership in ensuring the quality, security and performance of integration solutions through testing, performance tuning, and rigorous troubleshooting.

Desired knowledge, experience, competence, skills etc:

• Proven Expertise in Solution Architecture:
  Demonstrated experience in designing and implementing effective solution architectures on D365 FO and Commerce, with a strong focus on retail operations and integrations.
• Comprehensive Understanding of D365:
  Deep knowledge of D365 FO and Commerce data entities and integration frameworks, including the ability to leverage them for constructing solutions that drive business value.
• Integration Proficiency:
  Strong familiarity with Azure integration services, and the ability to design solutions that facilitate seamless connectivity across enterprise systems.
• Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:
  Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities to identify business needs and create solutions that effectively meet those requirements.
• Stakeholder Engagement:
  Exceptional communication skills to articulate solution designs, interact with various stakeholders, and translate complex technical concepts into business-oriented language.
• Agility and Teamwork:
  Ability to work effectively in agile, product-oriented, and collaborative environments, adapting to evolving business requirements and continuously driving innovation.

Following competences must be fulfilled:

• Certifications:
  Possession of relevant certifications for D365 FO and Commerce, demonstrating expertise and credibility in solution architecture and functional domains.
• Integration and Delivery Expertise:
  Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines, specifically tailored for efficient integration delivery that supports agile business environments.
• Business Process Acumen:
  Strong familiarity with retail, supply chain, and financial processes, with the ability to translate these into comprehensive D365 FO and Commerce solutions that align with organizational goals.
• Strategic Solution Implementation:
  Proven capability to engage with stakeholders, understanding their operational challenges and opportunities, and translating these insights into effective technical solutions.
