Strategic Project Lead to Swedish banking Strategy

Are you interested in strategy development and execution in the financial services industry? 

As a Strategic Project Lead in Swedish Banking Strategy and Sustainability team, you will play a vital role in driving strategy development and execution in a transformative and complex environment of the retail banking. You will work in close collaboration with Swedish Banking management and other teams on projects and topics of strategic importance.

In Swedbank you have the opportunity to:

• Be a key part in driving and facilitating the development of the private segment strategy, operating model, and efficient execution of the strategy in close dialogue and cooperation with stakeholders in- and outside Swedish Banking

• Facilitate strategic execution in Swedish Banking by driving annual tactical business & transformation planning, also support alignment of long-term and short-term plans and creating communication of plans to the larger organisation

• Support and work closely with Swedish Banking management team on various forward-looking business transformation engagements

• Tackle miscellaneous ad-hoc and problem-solving tasks on a broad range of themes including competitive surveys, sustainability, industry and area deep-dives etc.

• Engage with colleagues across the whole organization on topics related to business development, organizational design, finance, investor relations, sustainability, and technology
  

What is needed in this role:

• Already showcased interest and aptitude in strategy development, steering and translating strategy into effective execution

• Demonstrated analytical mindset and skills to analyse and interpret data for business-relevant insights, ability to visualise and communicate results concisely

• Drive and willingness to learn and develop, a solution-oriented mindset

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in a related field such as economics, finance or engineering

• 3-5 years of experience from a role such as management consulting, strategic business development, investment banking, private equity

• Experience in M&A/ corporate investments area

• Project management capabilities with ability to plan, manage, and execute combined with stakeholder management skills

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills (English & Swedish) and strong skills in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel and Word

• Interest and competence in AI tools preferred
