We are now looking for an
Engineering Student.
The work will be undertaken within Hardware R&D. The student will work in a multidisciplinary environment. Interaction with different disciplines and professionals will be required throughout this project.
Automation technologies are rapidly emerging as transformative solutions in modern industry. Their potential to automate complex tasks, improve efficiency, and adapt to dynamic environments makes them highly relevant for the future of life sciences and medical applications. Understanding the capabilities, limitations, and optimal use cases for automation is essential for organizations aiming to leverage innovative solutions.
Project Aim
The aim of this thesis is to create a theoretical foundation that maps out the opportunities, challenges, and value that automation solutions can generate for organizations in the life sciences sector. The work will also explore how automation can create value for customers, with a particular focus on reliability, quality, and workflow efficiency. The study will address implementation and organizational aspects, including factors influencing adoption and integration of automation technologies.
What You'll Do
- Conduct a literature review and theoretical analysis of automation solutions relevant to laboratory and industrial environments.
- Identify and map the potential benefits, challenges, and value creation mechanisms associated with automation in life sciences.
- Analyze organizational and implementation aspects, such as adoption barriers, enablers, and the impact on existing workflows.
- Explore attitudes and strategies within organizations for successful automation integration, balancing innovation with employee acceptance.
- Develop recommendations for best practices in the deployment and integration of automation technologies.
- Document findings and present results to stakeholders.
Who You Are
- A master's student in Industrial Management or a related field.
- Have an interest in automation, organizational development, and human-machine interaction.
- Preferably have experience with process analysis, management, programming, or automation platforms.
- Be a careful individual with an eye for detail.
- Have strong logical reasoning, curiosity, and a desire to learn new things.
- Have an interest in science, technology, and research.
