About the Position

As a Senior Development Engineer you will be responsible for planning and driving projects related to new material developments and optimization of existing materials for additive manufacturing (AM). Additionally, it will be your responsibility to develop additive manufacturing (AM) process recommendations for Höganäs product portfolio as well as testing and evaluating mechanical properties of additively manufactured materials and managing material data generation projects with external test laboratories. You will also:

- Support the sales organization and customers with technical recommendations regarding Höganäs AM powder portfolio.

- Execute, drive and follow up customer service investigations (CSI).

- Act as Höganäs representative in cooperation projects with external partners (customers, research institutes, universities, etc.).

- Manage and coordinate development projects.

- Participate in relevant conferences, write technical papers on material properties and processing recommendations for presentation at conferences and seminars.

While working for Höganäs you should always follow pertinent laws. You are also responsible for following internal directives and rules concerning occupational health, safety and environment so that required permits are not put at jeopardy.

 

About you

  • M.Sc. in Materials Science (or equivalent).

  • Experience in metal additive manufacturing technologies, minimum 5 years.

  • Knowledge and experience in print parameters for laser powder bed fusion technology is a big advantage

  • Project management and presentation skills.

  • Experience in thermodynamic calculations with Thermo-Calc or other ICME tools .

  • English, both written and spoken

Other

- You will work in a laboratory and pilot production environment as well as an office environment.

- Some international travelling of approx. 20 days/year
