Job Description

We are looking for a Group Category Manager to take the Dollar Store business responsibility of plans and performance for Personal Care and Health and Wellbeing and Home Clean product group, including private label, strategy and performance.

You will report to the Group Category Director, Personal Care and Homekeeping. You will be a member of the Category Area team and act as a supervisor for your team.

Your key tasks and responsibilities:

Having full local responsibility for Personal Care, Health & Wellbeing and Home Clean, Housekeeping & Storage product categories in the Swedish market, including assortment planning, pricing, procurement negotiations, margin, inventory turnover and category strategies.

Leading and developing the local Swedish category team, collaborating with store channels. Managing team operations through goals.

Having own procurement responsibilities, including tasks related to the role of a product manager.

Managing supplier agreements for your team and leading procurement negotiations.

Having shared responsibility for global private label initiatives and selected cross-region sourcing projects, in close cooperation with global teams and a colleague based in Finland. Ensuring the development, quality, and sustainability of sourcing of private labels according to the goals and guidelines for your team's assortment.

Negotiating supplier agreements, ensuring competitive pricing and profitability, setting clear sales/margin/turnover goals, managing budgets and supporting sustainable sourcing practices.

Implementing and developing the category-management model, leading process development, change and learning within the team.

Skills & Requirements

What do we expect from you?

Degree in a commercial or technical field (university or polytechnic).

Minimum 5 years' experience in retail/discount retail category management & procurement in Sweden or a similar market.

Experience in procurement / category management preferably in Personal Care, Health & Wellbeing and Home Clean, Housekeeping & Storage product categories or similar

Proven experience in private label development and international sourcing.

Strong business acumen: ability to lead profitable category operations locally, while contributing strategically to global initiatives.

Excellent project management skills

Strategic mindset; analytical and systematic work style; good stress-tolerance; willingness to take measured risks and decisive action.

Excellent negotiation, communication and interpersonal skills; fluent in English and Swedish (including professional terminology).
