Job Description

We now look for a Software Engineer to operate an inhouse developed system used for Performance Management of our Mobile and Fixed Networks.

Our Performance Management team is a technical, curious, and driven group of 18 professionals. We are dedicated to managing and enhancing the performance data across all our network infrastructures. Our team members include developers, architects, and analysts who collaborate to ensure Tele2 works data driven.

ABOUT THE ROLE

As a Software Engineer in our Network Performance Management team, you will be responsible for optimizing, developing, and improving the operation of our Performance Management systems. You will play a crucial role in collecting, processing, and analyzing data to measure network performance and provide insights for enhancements.

Key responsibilities

Maintain and optimize systems built on Linux servers in a container-based environment.

Identify possible synergies and possible optimizations in the data collection and processing layers across different products.

Collaborate with developers, architects and analysts to enhance data processing capabilities.

Ensure the reliability of services running in containerized environment.

Take ownership of system operations, troubleshooting, and performance tuning.

WHAT WE LOOK FOR

The person we are looking for is passionate about data and its applications for better decision making. You enjoy teamwork and to enable others by sharing your expertise in different forums. You have an analytical mindset and can combine your understanding of business and technology to deliver insights efficiently. In order to succeed in this role, a can-do attitude is crucial and you would be expected to take on relevant initiatives that supports the success of our team and Tele2s data driven strategy. Since you will work close with several parts of the business you are a skilled communicator and have a transparent and iterative way of working.

We believe you have:

Proficient in Go and Kafka.

Experience from optimization of high-speed data streaming

Experience from DevOps in container-based environments.

Strong knowledge of Linux, Kubernetes and GITLab.

Experience with virtual micro service management and failover strategies.

A proactive "can do" attitude and the ability to tackle complex and challenging systems with high data volumes.

Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.

Personal Attributes:

Confidence in your technical skills and the ability to take responsibility for system operations.

A curiosity-driven mindset with a passion for digging into challenging problems.

Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
