The Opportunity
The Data Protection Officer (DPO) ensures that Hultafors Group processes personal data in compliance with GDPR and other data protection laws. Acting as the main point of contact for all data privacy matters, the DPO provides expert guidance, monitors internal compliance, and liaises with regulatory authorities. Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will ensure the organization meets GDPR and other data protection requirements,
mitigate risks, and continuously improve policies and practices. You will also provide regular
reports to senior management on compliance status, key risks, and improvement initiatives.
● Oversee compliance with data protection laws, policies, and procedures
● Develop and continuously improve privacy policies, guidelines, and record-keeping
practices.
● Advise management and staff on data protection obligations and risk assessments
● Support all Group brands in fulfilling compliance requirements
● Lead or support DPIAs and manage data incidents or breaches
● Deliver training and raise awareness on data protection
● Maintain records and serve as liaison with data protection authorities
● Oversee handling of data subject requests and assess data protection risk

About you

You are passionate about data protection and thrive on making privacy and compliance a cornerstone of the organization. With solid experience in GDPR, DPIAs, compliance frameworks, and incident management, you know how to turn complex regulations into practical solutions. You enjoy raising awareness, training colleagues, and tackling industry-specific data challenges with a proactive and hands-on approach—helping the organization succeed while safeguarding personal data.

Qualifications and experiences:
Educational Background:
University degree in Law, Information Security, Computer Science, Business
Administration, or a related field.

Professional Certifications (preferred):
Recognized data protection or privacy certifications such as CIPP/E, CIPM,
CIPT, or equivalent

Relevant Experience:

● Proven experience (typically 3–5 years or more) in data protection, privacy,
compliance, information security, legal, or a related field.
● Experience working with GDPR and other data protection regulations in a
corporate or multinational environment.
● Experience in developing and implementing data protection policies,
procedures, and compliance frameworks.
● Experience in conducting Data Protection Impact Assessments (DPIAs) and
managing data breaches or incidents.
● Experience in delivering training and awareness programs on data protection
topics.

Industry Knowledge:

Understanding of the industry sector and the specific data protection challenges relevant to the organization's operations.

Technical Skills:

Familiarity with IT systems, data management, and information security practices
